I attended the University of Ottawa for undergraduate, medical school and residency. Ottawa has been home for me since I was very young and immigrated to Canada with my family from Ireland.
I graduated from Family Medicine Residency in 2006 from the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital. From there I entered the Nepean Family Health Organization. I also was a part time emergency room physician at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario for many years.
While living abroad I have worked for the United States Peace Corps as a Medical Officer and have volunteered teaching at a local South African township hospital via the University of Pretoria.
Currently I have a small practice of long term care frail and dementia patients at a local long term care nursing home.
My interests in medicine include family medicine, pediatrics, and international/ public health and geriatrics. I am looking forward to meeting you all very soon.
